Our mission at www.bradmersereau.com is to honor the memory of my sister Laura with effective addiction prevention and recovery support. We recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of our May, 1 2006, website launch. I was inspired after my December 27, 2005 interview with Todd Murphy to become even more proactive. We have received over 100,000 webpage views since the Portland Tribune article. 288 teens honor mind, body, and spirit without drugs or alcohol before 21 on our Sobriety Pledge webpage thus significantly reducing the probability for addiction which consumes more than 40 million Americans. 1055 champions celebrate 17,091 clean and sober years on our Sobriety Anniversary webpage. Our fundraising efforts for 9 Portland addiction prevention or recovery programs now total $3,600,000 including $2,200,000 in matching funds. I recently played a piano gig for Central City Concern’s “Laura’s Place,” a transitional living 6-plex, which has served 101 mothers and over 90 children since opening in 2009.
