Partnership to End Addiction

Dear Brad,

“What do you do when your well-structured routine, one that has helped you establish boundaries and house rules to address your child’s substance use, comes to a screeching halt?”

When I wrote to you this past spring, this question was looming.

Since then, armed with tools and support from Partnership to End Addiction, my family has navigated each new challenge with renewed openness and understanding. I was even able to take advantage of the increased time with my son to repair and rebuild our relationship.

Despite the trials of the holiday season and the continued spread of COVID-19 across the country, I feel empowered. I can support my son in a way I wasn’t able to before. This is in no small part due to the community and personalized services the Partnership provides.

Please help ensure that families just like mine can continue to count on Partnership to End Addiction’s vital services. Your donation will be matched — but only through midnight tonight, so don’t delay.

Families need your support now

The Partnership continues to help my family throughout this complex and uncertain year. For instance, I am practicing self-care and learning how to allow myself the flexibility I need to manage both my child’s substance use and the effects of the pandemic. Things aren’t perfect, but they are so much better.

Now I am giving back by supporting other parents struggling with their child’s substance use. I volunteer as a parent coach and facilitator for the online support community. I recognize the desperation of the newcomers. When they first join, they’ve been isolated. They feel uncertain and exhausted. Soon, they realize they aren’t alone, and they’re speaking to others who understand their journey. They feel supported and hopeful for the first time in a long time.

Give your most generous gift now and help families find hope and healing.

With gratitude,

Virginia Holleman

Dear Virginia,
My gift is https://bradmersereau.com/sobriety-anniversary/ where 1123 champions celebrate over 23,000 clean & sober years.  Accountability is paramount.  I welcome all in recovery to add their anonymous sobriety anniversary dates!  Addiction prevention is another cause we encourage @ https://bradmersereau.com/lauras-sobriety-pledge/ where 401 intentional teens honor mind, body and spirit without drugs or alcohol before 21, thus significantly reducing the possibility for later substance abuse.  Please tell all you know who could benefit!
p.s.  Since her death on June 13, 1999 our mission has been to honor my sister Laura’s memory with addiction prevention and recovery support to those who want it.
We have raise $4,700,000 including $3,000,0000 in matching funds for 9 Portland Oregon based addiction prevention and recovery programs.  Our work was featured in one of your e-publications over a decade ago.  We are grateful for the 127,000 + visitors to https://bradmersereau.com/ since May 1, 2006.  All the best to you in 2021.
Sincerely, Brad Mersereau
